Sofia Descalzi people Share Print Sofia joined the Inter Pares team as Fundraising Manager in February 2021. She holds a Bachelor or Arts (Hons) in Psychology and a minor in French from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Grenfell Campus. Sofia became involved in social justice activism through her student union, representing students as the President of the Grenfell Campus Student Union. Prior to working with Inter Pares, Sofia held different elected positions with the Canadian Federation of Students, including National Chairperson. She focused her work on fairness for international students, advocating for free education, racial justice, as well as financial relief for students and recent graduates during the pandemic. Sofia is passionate about migrant rights, gender justice, climate justice, and has a special interest in Latin America.
