Join us for a discussion on sexual and reproductive health and rights. You will hear stories of how a network of women's health clinics are overcoming the challenges of poverty, violence, and the lack of access to contraception and sex education in schools.

This May we are bringing two representatives from the Likhaan centre for women's health to Canada on a tour to talk about their work and meet with people and groups doing related work here in Canada.

Caren Pineda is a nurse and has dedicated much of her life to Likhaan and working to improve women’s health and rights. She is the Coordinator for the project. Mark Abellon began as a member of a youth organization when he was 16 and now is a Community Mobilizer helping to educate other youth about sexual and reproductive health. Caren and Mark will speak about the work and share the challenges – and the successes! – of this work.

At some of the events we will screen a short film on the work of Likhaan as well as hearing from Caren and Mark.

The tour will visit five cities and hold a public event in each. These events are free. Spaces are limited. RSVP now:
