Women's Worlds 2011 call for participation

The conversation includes you.

“Inclusions, Exclusions, and Seclusions: Living in a Globalized World” is the theme of this international and interdisciplinary gathering of and about women, to be held in Ottawa-Gatineau, Canada from July 3-7, 2011. The event will convene a diversity of minds and experiences to delve into some of the most pressing issues of our time.

The Women’s Worlds 2011 call for participation has recently been officially launched. It is framed as a “call for participation” more than a call for papers. Why? Because WW 2011 is as much about grassroots activism as it is about academic achievement. WW knows that important insights come from various communities – that’s why its organizers are striving to make WW 2011 a space for all kinds of conversations and connections between diverse people.

So from now until September 15 of this year, WW 2011 will be accepting proposals for presentations from individuals, groups, coalitions, networks, teams … everything will be considered from those who want to share their ideas, findings, and stories. If you have in mind a presentation, or you want to share through multimedia, performance art, exhibits, cultural events … then WW 2011 wants to hear from you.

For descriptions of the gathering’s themes and the submission form, please visit the opens in a new browser window Women’s Worlds 2011 Web site.
